A Trip To Silvassa by Omkar International School, CBSE
Omkar International School, CBSE organized a two days trip for their students to Silvassa, the capital of the Indian Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. During the two day stay at ‘The Golden Pond Resort’, the hospitality was not only warm, but almost felt like home!
The adventure began with a visit to a Deer Park which was soothing as the peaceful and gentle animals watched the students which equal amazement in their eyes. Students explored species of deer and enjoyed it. Then an action packed and eventful day, continued with the Royal Lion Safari, where the king of the jungle, ‘The Asiatic Lion’ met with the students. The merriment continued with High-Tea. The cheery on the cake was the ‘DJ party’. The night was thoroughly enjoyed by students and teachers and the day ended on an enthralling moment followed by delicious dinner. The next day was devoted to fun at Butter fly Park and Just opposite the Butterfly park at Khanvel was the colourfully decorated complex of the Nature Education Centre. The Warli paintings on the walls were a welcome sight to us city dwellers. Here we saw artificial replicas of the local wild species. The adventure continued the visit to the Sunrise Spinners -fabric factory where students flourished their knowledge about the entire process from raw material to processed linen. Finally it was a serene, tranquil destination.
PICNIC TO TIC TAC TOT, GORAI 05/12/2023
The most awaited day of the year was the school picnic to Tic Tac Tot, Gorai on Tuesday, 05 December 2023. Students eagerly wait for the school picnic as they love to spend gala time with their classmates.
The Picnic was arranged for Class 1 & 2 students. Students were extremely excited to reach the destination.
After breakfast students went to the play zone. They enjoyed playing on slides, ball pool, trampoline and many other activities.
After a tiring and fun packed morning, we all headed for lunch. The dining hall, filled with the fragrance of food triggered our hunger and we all relished multi-cuisine food.
After lunch, students were taken to the Bird Park. Students enjoyed
their visit to the park as it facilitated their learning. The bird keeper gave information regarding several birds over there. Thrill and excitement was seen as they expressed their observations. It was an enjoyable experience on
the whole.
Picnic to Jaipur
Embarking on a journey of exploration and camaraderie, the students of Omkar International School, CBSE, from classes 7, 8, and 9, created lasting memories during their captivating school picnic to the enchanting city of Jaipur. From December 11 to December 15, 2023, the students immersed themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Jaipur, discovering its historical treasures and vibrant charm.
The adventure commenced with visits to iconic landmarks, including the awe-inspiring Amer Fort, the serene Jal Mahal, and the intricately designed City Palace. Exploring the scientific marvels of Jantar Mantar and the artistic beauty of Albert Hall, the students marveled at the city’s architectural wonders.
The cultural odyssey continued as they experienced the vibrant colors of Rajasthan at Chokhi Dhani, a cultural village, embracing the traditional music, dance, and delectable cuisine. The spiritual essence of Birla Temple provided a serene contrast, offering a moment for reflection and tranquility.
The students also delved into the cultural and artistic heritage of Jaipur with visits to the Doll Museum and the timeless Hawa Mahal.
Adding a touch of local flavor, the students indulged in a delightful shopping spree at the bustling markets, acquiring souvenirs that would forever remind them of this incredible adventure.
This school picnic transcended the ordinary, weaving together moments of laughter, exploration, and cultural appreciation. It was more than just a journey; it was a tapestry of experiences that etched themselves into the collective memory of the students, making this escapade truly unforgettable. As they returned to their routine, they carried with them not just bags of souvenirs, but a treasure trove of memories that would be cherished for a lifetime.
SAGUNA BAUG TRIP
Omkar International School CBSE organized a school picnic for the students of grades 3 & 4 on 19th of December 2023 to Saguna Baug, Neral. Memories of school trips are among the most prominent of the formative years. Students assembled in the school premises at 7 am and were all pumped up for their trip. With soaring excitement levels, they were all set to have a fantastic day-out with their friends and teachers. The bus travel to the venue gave some personal time for the students to interact, sing and dance with their friends. On arrival at the venue, breakfast was awaiting, post which, the students were divided into groups and taken on a field tour of the picturesque location.
On reaching the park, the children enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. The guides from Saguna Baug took them on a nature’s walk and showcased the specialities of the plants, trees, flowers, crops, etc that were naturally grown on their land. They also demonstrated the various ways in which these could be used and highlighted their importance in the production market as well. There were many activities for them such as boating, bullock cart ride, etc. There was a display of a variety of animals like ostriches, emus, iguanas, camels, etc, for the students. Many posed fearlessly with iguanas and other animals for pictures.
Students also witnessed a snake show by trained professionals. They were then served with delicious lunch and were given time to explore the place with their fellow mates.
The authorities also organized an amazing performance of Mallakhamb by National level champions. Their display indeed left us all spellbound. Throughout the wander of the entire locality of Saguna Baug, children were awestruck by the different types of trees and mesmerized by the beautiful flowers in the fields. After high tea, the students boarded the bus and returned back to school around 6.30 pm. This trip indeed gave the students a chance to build closer bonds with their classmates and teachers, experience new environments and enjoy a day away from the classroom. The bright faces and happy smiles at the end of an exhaustingly fun day were ample proof that indeed it was a memorable trip for all.
